a short bio

as written by JC DiStefano.

When I met Greg Palka fifteen years ago, I remember being instantly drawn to his individualism and inventiveness. I was impressed with his ability to channel these traits into evocative and creative pieces despite his young age and our stifling educational circumstances. I grew to realize that his wealth of creativity and cleverness stem from both a sharp eye and a questioning mind. His unique way of absorbing and reinterpreting the world results in an output of visual works which are equally stunning as they are unexpected. He’s also adept at forming complete concepts from rough ideas. With every project I’ve entrusted him with, Greg has consistently presented me with perfect designs before I was even sure what I looking for! His imagination has always seemed boundless; certainly too expansive to be confined to the tiny corner of Pennsylvania we once called home. After a stint at Full Sail, he emerged from the Floridian university holding an Advanced Achievement Award, a Degree in Digital Arts & Design, and a technical mastery which elevated his work to a new level of professionalism. Since then, he’s utilized his talents in Times Square at Clear Channel Spectacolor, where he’s served as a Graphic Designer for the past four years. His ongoing experience there, in addition to consistent freelance work has allowed Greg to sharpen his skills further and continue to add richness and depth to his already bold, exciting body of work. Fifteen years later, I’m still impressed.
